Biography
Kristy Folk (she, her, hers) received her BSN from Okanagan University College in 2003. She went on to work in various specialties including vascular, thoracic, plastic and general surgery, emergency- trauma care, cardiac care, intensive care, and CVAA certified vascular access specialist. She received her MSN from the University of British Columbia-Okanagan (UBCO) in 2016 with a teaching focus. Kristy joined the UBCO Nursing program as a clinical assistant in 2020, teaching Lab and clinical rotations in years two, three and four. Born and raised in the Okanagan, she is grateful to live, play and work in the traditional and unceded territory of the Sylix Nation with her family and fur baby Nia.
